Team Webmaster : The Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya arrested a suspect with the initials FA (23) who acted as the owner and manager of an online gambling site in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra province (West Sumatra).
“On Friday, September 20, 2024, Investigators of Unit V Subdit IV/ Tipidsiber Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, have successfully arrested one suspect in a criminal case that has an online gambling charge,” said Dirreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday.
Ade Safri explained that this case began when officers of the Cyber subdirectorate (Cyber Subdit) of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate(Ditreskrimsus) of Polda Metro Jaya conducted a cyber patrol and found a scam website that was suspected of organizing online gambling.
“By name, pandawara126, asalbet88, targetbet777 and other websites,” he said.
Ade Safri added that to be able to play the game (game) on the website, the player/member must make a deposit to the banking account listed on the page (website).

After successfully making a deposit, the next player will play the game or games that are on the online gambling website that the suspect manages. “Furthermore, players will risk funds that have been deposited to bet on games available on the website,” he said.
Then after deepening on September 19, 2024 at 10.00 WIB in Ampalu, Ganting Mudiak Selatan Surantih Village, Sutera District, South Pesisir Regency, West Sumatra province, investigators from Unit V Subdit IV of cybercrime came to a person named FA and were asked for information regarding alleged criminal acts or online gambling cases that occurred.
After an examination or request for information against the FA, on September 20, 2024, a case title was carried out to raise its status from witness to suspect.
“For the sake of further investigation, the detention of him has been carried out at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center,” said Ade Safri.
