The eighth groundbreaking in IKN involves purely Chinese foreign investors

Team Webmaster : Enthusiastic atmosphere and positive atmosphere enveloped this groundbreaking preparation, where the general public who visited the archipelago also gave a positive perception of the ongoing development.

The Indonesian capital authority (OIKN) revealed that the eighth groundbreaking in the archipelago, East Kalimantan, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 involved one pure foreign investor from China.

Special staff of the head of IKN Authority for Public Communication Troy Pantouw said that this groundbreaking would involve one pure foreign investor, two foreign partnerships, and two domestic investors.

“An enthusiastic atmosphere and positive atmosphere enveloped this groundbreaking preparation, where the general public who visited the archipelago also gave a positive perception of the ongoing development. This is a clear proof that the archipelago is well received and a source of mutual pride,” said Troy Pantouw in Jakarta, Tuesday.

The development of the capital of the archipelago (IKN) continues to show significant progress. Commitment from various parties to invest in the archipelago is getting stronger, as evidenced by the enthusiasm of potential investors who visit and send letters of Intent (LOI) to the IKN Authority.

On September 25, 2024, President Joko Widodo will lead the groundbreaking of the 8th phase which will be the next big step in the development of the archipelago.

Foreign investors showed the same strong interest as domestic investors in the potential of the archipelago. However, the IKN Authority still prioritizes the presence of local brands that are national pride.

This is in line with the vision of the archipelago as the work of the nation’s children who are able to contribute greatly not only to Indonesia, but also to the international community.

Foreign private investment first entered through the mix use sector, namely Delonix Bravo Investment from China which will build hotels, apartments, offices and shopping centers.

The investment spree continues. It is planned to also inaugurate the groundbreaking of two domestic companies that invest in the archipelago, namely Primahotel Manajemen Indonesia which will build 3-star hotels, PT Plataran Boga Rasa which will build venues.

Meanwhile, two companies are partnering with international, Australia Independent School which will build international schools from early childhood to high school, and PT Magnum Investment Nusantara which will build residential & commercial areas.

This 8th Groundbreaking continues the series of development that has previously reached the seventh stage. Last week, Swissotel Nusantara was inaugurated as well as the Groundbreaking Nusantara Mall and Duty Free, which added to the list of important infrastructure and facilities projects in the archipelago.

President Joko Widodo continues to show great attention to the development of IKN. Strong support from the government will also continue under the administration of President Prabowo Subianto, who in a cabinet meeting last August in the archipelago reiterated his commitment to complete the construction of the archipelago’s capital as well as possible.

The archipelago is not only a symbol of national pride as a city designed and built by the nation’s best sons and daughters, but also increasingly attracts the attention of international citizens.

This 8th Groundbreaking is proof that the archipelago continues to evolve as a city of the future, smart, green, and sustainable, while marking an important step towards Indonesia’s transformation in the global arena.
